All Video Downloader is an app geared toward Android phones that lets you download nearly any video from the Web and manage that video collection.

All Video Downloader is a free video downloading app that lets you download nearly any video from practically any webpage. The app remains free by being ad-supported in an inoffensive manner and while it does support all Android devices, it’s specifically designed for phones. The UI is minimalistic but not always in a good way, and that becomes a larger issue on bigger screens.

If you want to snatch videos from the Web and have them available whenever, including when offline, then this app does the trick. It even automatically detects the appropriate browser links, which makes it easier to access the items you want. It supports a wide range of video formats, including MP4, MKV and WMV, and it supports large file videos, which are 2 GB or larger.

All Video Downloader downloads files in parallel, which means it can download multiple files simultaneously depending on the speed of the connection available. It also downloads files in pieces rather than sequentially. That means it can even download pieces of the same video in parallel. It also means that you can pause a particular download and restart it later.

The app also has a queue, which is handy if you’re adding a lot of links at once. It has prioritization as well, so that new video you just came across can download first. It also runs in the background, which means that once you’re done finding links and prioritizing them, you can forget the app and move onto something else. You will have to remember it later since there’s no notification system, unfortunately.

You can also use the app as a directory of sorts from which you play your videos. The app supports bookmarking and similar light organization, and it will automatically launch the appropriate player when you choose to watch a particular video.

The most glaring omission here is a lack of synchronization. There’s no integrated way to back up to a cloud or to sync files to your other devices. Sure, you can do all of this manually, but if you want that kind of functionality, there are similar free apps on the market like this that will do it for you.

Pros

  • Supports many video extensions
  • Downloads files in parallel
  • Runs in background

Cons

  • No synchronization
  • Barebones UI
